Ms. Goyal is a Vice President of Finance and Strategy at Butterfly. In this role, Ms. Goyal leads the Firm’s FP&A and strategic growth functions and works closely with the senior leadership team on fundraising, strategic business-building initiatives, investment execution & origination, firmwide operational and capital management activities, team / new office build-outs, and technology / AI implementation. Ms. Goyal serves as a thought partner to the CEO and CFO as we continue to scale Butterfly as the preeminent private equity firm in the food industry.
Prior to joining Butterfly, Ms. Goyal was a Private Equity Investor in the Flagship Buyout Fund at Apollo Global Management, having covered several industries with a focus on Consumer & Retail, and TMT, having evaluated 40+ potential investments and managing portfolio companies, such as Michaels, Heritage Grocers Group, The Fresh Market, Avaya, and Rackspace. Previously, she was in Investment Banking at JP Morgan in the Media and Communications group in NYC, having led and worked on $20bn+ in transactions, including Take-Two's acquisition of Zynga, Getty Images SPAC, and NielsenIQ acquiring GfK.
Ms. Goyal graduated Dean's List and Latin Honors from The University of Chicago in 2021 with a B.A. in Economics and minor in Computer Science, with a Dougan Scholars Certificate from Chicago Booth. Ms. Goyal was also Harper's Excellence and Odyssey Scholar.
In addition, Ms. Goyal currently sits / advises on the UChicago College Leadership Trustee Council and UChicago NYC Alumni Board. Previously, Ms. Goyal spearheaded Apollo Women Empower as Speaker Series Chair and JP Morgan Junior Women in Banking as Engagement and Philanthropy Chair.
